ÒRACECA - NOT COMPETITION BUT PURPOSE OF ECONOMIC COOPERATION

In past several years potential of the international transport channel Europe-Caucasus-Asia - TRACECA, that runs via South Caucasus to connect Central Asian countries with continental Europe and West, at large becomes a factor stimulating development of trade-economic cooperation between Europe and Asia and at the same time economies of country-partners of this intergovernmental project. In fact, in past several years TRACECA turned from a project into the program consisting of specific projects of development of transport-communication infrastructures of the above regions.

After South Caucasus and Central Asian regions got independence they began looking for additional ways to get access to world markets. Realization of their plans became possible very through TRACECA program which from the very beginning was encouraged by the European Union.

But, let’s have a look at perspectives of development of TRACECA.

Analyze of main versions of development of world economy shows that main finance, trade and information flows in 21th century will center on USA-Europe-Asia triangle. Hence, important task of company-partners of TRACECA (Azerbaijan-Armenia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgizistan, Moldova, Romania, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine) is to put their geopolitical and economical abilities into practice through development of transport-communication networks....



The bridge from Caspian Sea to Black Sea: Middle East Petrol’s Dubendi Terminal


Dubendi Port (also known as Apsheron Port) is located at the Caspian Sea coast of Azerbaijan Republic, approximately 50 kilometers away from Baku. Dubendi Port, which was constructed in 1970s for receiving crude oil, remained almost idle following the collapse of Soviet Union. The port was reactivated in 1996 and has been working as a hub for transit transportation of Kazakh and Turkmen crude oil to Black Sea Ports of Georgia through Azerbaijan and Georgian territories. Storage and rail loading facilities are connected to the port, providing capability to transport significant volumes of Caspian crude oil to world markets.

In March 2002, Dubai based “Middle East Petrol” received the control of Dubendi terminal and accelerated the transit transportation.

Middle East Petrol storage facilities at Dubendi are organized under two main groups:

Crude Oil & Black Products: Total crude oil and black product storage capacity is 150 000 m3, consisted of 2 x 22.000m3, 4x20.000 m3 and 5x5000 m3 tanks. Heating system is available for crude oil and oil product types with high pour point...

GEORGIA SANCTIONED REALIZATION OF ITS SECTOR OF THE BTC PROJECT


Practical realization of the program of construction of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline will begin in coming several days, said the president of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev.

During the receipt of the Kazakhstan’s ambassador Andar Shukurov in Baku, the president of Azerbaijan noted that problems related with approval of Environmental Impact Assessment of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan were eliminted. “The main problem is solved now and construction will soon begin”, he said. The president Aliyev also held debate concerned with realization of BTC project. On the debate took part the prime-minister of Azerbaijan Artur Rasizadeh, the minister of foreign affairs Vilayat Guliyev, the president of SOCAR Ilham Aliyev, the first vice-president of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Ilham Aliyev and other officials.

According to the press-agency of the president of Azerbaijan, the president of BP-Azerbaijan David Woodward in his speech revealed some details of the work carried by the government of Georgia related with signing of the document “Environmental Impact Assessment of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan project”...

After long run and difficult negotiations of Shah deniz shareholders, prime personages of the play who will be engaged in study of promising sales markets of gas recoveredfrom this giant gas condense field began making appearance.

Norway’s Statoil headed the marketing company and will sell “blue fuel” to be driven to Europe by the South-Caucasus gas pipeline Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum.

As reported the president of SOCAR Natig Aliyev, the issue on operatorship of the gas pipeline still remains open. This task will be solved before February 2003 when is anticipated sanctioning of the “Phase-1” of Shah deniz project....

The pontoons were towed out to the West Jurong anchorage where they were floated over the decks of the already submerged, semi-submersible vessel “Tern”. The voyage to the Black Sea via the Suez Canal was relatively trouble free.

In 1972 after graduating from shipmechanic faculty of the Baku Navigation college named after Gafur Mammadov by assignment to the Caspian Sea Dredging Company he filled the occupation of motor-mechanic. RAO “Rosneftegazstroy” oil-and-gas construction company - is a leading Russian oil-and-gas related company dealing in industrial and civil construction.

History of the company dates 50 years back . EFFECT OF SOUND COOPERATION


AZFEN JV was established under the current laws of the Azerbaijan Republic on 11 January 1996 by the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic, owner of 60% of the equity shares in the Charter Fund and TEKFEN Insaat ve Tesisat AS, Turkey, owner of 40% of the equity shares in the Charter Fund.

Though young, today AZFEN has taken its place in growing and maturing market economy of Azerbaijan, and in implementation of large-scale projects. Since the day of its foundation AZFEN JV has been completing significant projects competing with world’s leading companies.
