STATE CONCERN "AZERICHIMIA" - RELIABLE AND TRUSTED PARTNER

The President of State Concern "Azeriсhimia", Deputy of Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, honoured engineer of the Republic, real member of International Engineering Academy and International East Oil Academy, Dr. of Technical Science, Prof. Fikret Sadikhov made known us about the company's development perspective and achieved successes.

State concern could prove its role as reliable and trusted partner in the person of partner-debtor. It was the first in Azerbaijan concluded the contract about construction of Cogeneration plant and received for it from Japanese companies and banks the credit for large amount with State guarantee. And in this connection State Concern "Azeriсhimia" timely and carefully - quarterly, on schedule repay the credit debt. By the beginning of April 2004 SC fulfilled the complete payment to Japanese company "Nichimen-Corporation" and paid the last share of debt totally $16,611 mln. and by February of current year SC repaid the debt to Japanese "Eximbank" totally $60 mln. from received $90 mln. The debt's repaid on behalf of SC on schedule.

Commissioned in 2001 on initiative of National Leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev in Sumgayit's plant "Ethylene-polyethylene" the great Japanese heat-and-power engineering complex - giant Cogeneration plant, which presently satisfies all hopes that relied on it. Stated complex not only completely provide the demands of processing EP-300 in heat-and-power energy, but also for hundred percentage provide with steam and for 40-50% electric power of all four SC "Azeriсhimia" plants. Rhythmically providing them with heat and power energy it assistance for improvement of technical-economy figures of SC enterprises.

Completely justifies the hopes and entrust SC "Azeriсhimia". Total credit debts to Japanese "Eximbank" and "Nichimen-Corporation" $94 mln. is repaid on schedule and payment of last part of debt to "Nichimen" Azerbaijanis chemists fulfilled with gratitude letter to management of stated worldwide famous company. Liberated from one of two creditors (SC "Azeriсhimia" has paid their debts since August of 2001. Presently repaid $55,4 mln. of debt, of this amount $47,6 mln. is the main debt) SC became easily to cope with one creditor from "Eximbank", at present SC transmits to Japan side annually $12 mln. and in depend on USD course approximately $10. The main fact that the Japanese partners made sure in paying capacity, financial reliability of the Azerbaijan State Concern.

Successfully decided the energy problem of the field the management of SC "Azeriсhimia" is going to advance to major stage the plan of technological and equipment modernization, construction of new workshops and technology lines. All four SC enterprises has potential possibilities of expansion and modernization of processing under the serious investment-financial supporting. The cooperation with "Azeriсhimia" and investment of capital for development and expansion of its enterprises and processing are profitable because of they are based not on import of raw materials and materials and on their local production that ideally provides with good profit to investment projects.

Under an active supporting and assistance of investors at "Azeriсhimia" is considered the construction of processing of such important requiring with big demand in the world market chemical products as polypropylene, styrene, polystyrene, polyvinylchloride and also nitrogen fertilizers. There is planned in future the processing enlargement of "Synthetic rubber".

Perspective development

In the nearest plans of SC is the launching of benzol, ethyl-benzol on the base of processing of fluid productions pyrolysis and in next stages - butadiene-styrene latex and butadiene-styrene rubber that will be the beginning of new technological cycle in Chemical Industry of Azerbaijan.

For satisfaction of local and foreign consumer's demands in polyester resin, there is planned after long years break the reconstruction of epoxy resin processing and providing with deep production of heavy pyrolysis resin. There is also considered the development of processing technology of new marks like polyester resin - Laprol 4200-100 and Laprol 6000+200.

At the same time, there is considered the development of processing of special additive added to lubricating oil that will join to general assortment of production exported by SC "Azeriсhimia". The plans in the nearest future will multiply achieved successes of Azerbaijani chemists. For instance, it is pleasant that one of the main products of "Azeriсhimia" - polyethylene producing at "Ethylene-Polyethylene" make use with increasing demand in the world market and only for 2003 on difference nominations and qualitative figures, the stated valuable product and the company was more than once awarded by different prestige international prizes and rewards. According to the most authoritarian and required international experts and inspectors on quality for the last years there was not any production which could gain such kind of successes of the world level. And in the list of production consumers are the famous companies and corporations of the largest countries of the world like USA, England, Germany, Canada, Turkey, Italy, Poland, China, Iran, Russia and others.

The solid world authority gained and Dehydration Isopropyl Spirit (DIS), producing at "Synthetic rubber" (it is the first of Azerbaijan Petrochemical Industry) and awarded in 1998 of International Gold Prize "European Arch". DIS solid and surely get the competitive in the world market, it is processed more than three famous foreign companies. But Azerbaijan DIS on technical-qualitative characteristics better than competitors' production. The consumers from more than 20 countries order to Sumgayit DIS annually.

With its high qualitative chemical productions - hydrate of sodium, oxide propylene, dichlorethane, chloroparaffin, hydrochloric acid and others included into world market and other enterprises of State Concern - "Orgsintez" and Surfactant Species Plant.

The new, higher stimulus for development of chemical field will be provided with modernization and reconstruction of exist manufacture and construction of new, more perspective and profitable units. The main role in this aspect got to investors who wish to become our reliable partners in the matter of Azerbaijan economy development.
