"BAKI FAHLASI" PRODUCES THE MODERN PRODUCTION OF OIL MACHINE-BUILDING
THE PRESENCE OF CERTIFIED PLANT'S PRODUCTION ALLOW TO COMPETE AT INTERNATIONAL ARENA
Exclusive interview of Chairman of the Board of AOJSC "Machine-building plant Baki Fahlasi", Mr. Islam Feyziyev.
The State power today is defined by its economy potential. The successful realization of oil strategy of the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev and ongoing of stated course on behalf of the President of the Republic Ilham Aliyev allows to develop of all economy fields which are under the special attention of country's management. Economy reforms in Azerbaijan are positively influence to oil machine-building. In this connection the establishment of JSC "Machine-building plant Baki Fahlasi" being as an associated company of JSC "Azneftkimyamash" occupies very important place.
Mr. Feyziyev headed by you company has more than a century history. The path to development was thorny?..
JSC "Machine-building plant Baki Fahlasi" is a large-scale specialized enterprise producing oil field equipment, the required for them depot units, providing with services and also producing of customer goods. As you right mentioned the plant was established in 1900 in territory of the section 101 of the Sabunchi settlement, Balakhan - Sabunchi district on the basis of small workshops the belonged to the former oil firm "Benkendorf".
Historically the plant's mission can be divided into 5 stages.
The first stage (1900-1920) covers the period from foundation of workshops firm "Benkendorf" to establishment of the Soviet Authority in Azerbaijan. This period is typical that the workshops' activity was placed into duty of finance interests of its firm and in result directed to maximal production and selling of oil on the terms of low charges. The workshops served basically for satisfaction of requirements of fast growth of Baku oil industry and have fulfilled the repair operations of oil field equipment that did not reflect to economy of the Republic because of new equipment was supplied from abroad as previous.
The second stage (1920-1941) pre-war period is the period of becoming of native machine-building and entrance to leading line of the world science and technique. After getting of plant's status by the company in 1926 it became call as "Baku Fahlasi" machine-building and began to process oil field equipment.
The third stage (1941-1945) war period is the period of processing of defensive technique.
The fourth stage (1945-1991) post war period is characterized with increasing of processing power, growth of final production processing, regular improvement of technique-economy figures, quality increasing and expansion of goods assortments.
In Soviet period it was the first in processing of oil field machines and its production are used not only in oil production regions of the former USSR but also exported to more than 27 countries of the world.
The fifth stage (since 1991 till present) is the period of the Republic of Azerbaijan's Independence and transferring into market relations characterizing with multi-profile activity. With purpose of liberalization of economy activity, enterpreneurship strengthening and attract of investments, according to Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan with No. 649 dated March 22, 2001 on the base of the 2nd State program of the Republic of Azerbaijan by Privatization of Property "Azneftkimyamash" had been liquidated.
Then, according to Decree of the Ministry of Economy Development with No. 192 dated October 31, 2001 on the base of State company "Baku Fahlasi" JSC "Azneftkimyamash" was founded its associated company "Baku Fahlasi machine-building plant". After reorganization "Baku Fahlasi" machine-building plant continued its dynamic development.
During the last 105 years, the "Baki Fahlasi" plant has traveled a long development road from small workshops with limited resources to large-scale enterprise making a strong contribution to economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
On base of which principals are there organized the company's manpower policy?
We opened the training center for satisfaction of growth plant's requirements regarding high qualified staff. Only for last year due to successful operation of training center 64 employees were trained in new specialties, 101 persons passed re-qualification, 50 employees increased their qualification level, 29 engineer-technique employees made rich their knowledge by theoretical information. At present in training center are trained into different specialties and 40 persons are received the stipend. Generally, there is paid the special attention for improvement of prosperity and social provision of employees. The wages of staff is rising pro rata to plant's finance possibilities and provided timely till the 10th of date of each month. An average month wages of employees in result of 2004 made 625400 AZM.
The maintenance of work safety, protection from professional influence to employees' health in plant there carried out the complex measures including their instruction in this field.
In 2004 there were engaged more than 100 new employees the major part of which made the young specialists. Taking into consideration the expansion of JSC the number of employees 431 in 2005 will be multiplied for 100 persons.
What does JSC "Machine-building plant Baki Fahlasi" offer to its consumers?
JSC today is able to implement the processing and repair service of the following production: loading travelling systems which are able to lift from 32 to 320 tons of cargo, 320 tons hook blocks and crown blocks, pipes carrier PV-204 on chassis of automobile KrAz-255B and KrAz-260, AzINMAS-37 BF, TP-500, TP-600 and TP-800 heat exchanger, tank trucks which fulfill the carrier of liquefied gas on chassis of automobile as MQAC-6-130 and MQAC-10-250, bottle carrier MQBD-80-250 on chassis of automobile KrAz-250, KrAz-260, automobile gear which platforms get from 6X2,5 meter up to 8X2,5 meters, moveable techniques auto workshops set on automobiles Ural-4320 and Ural-5557, and also steel propane and gas bottles with capacity at 27 and 50 litres.
JSC is going to increase the standards and quality of processed production, and according to signed contracts has fulfilled its final production supplying on time. In latter times, the plant began to process bearings units of rocking machine with length 4,5 meter that had been used in our Republic, Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan.
JSC last year began to process the units like QK-60 and QK-80 which are able to drill approximately 1200 and 1500 meter and carrying out the repair operations in oil and gas wells at depth 3500 meter. These units will be placed on chassis of KrAz-65101.
Taking into account the increasing of depth of drilled wells on the territory of Azerbaijan and other oil regions are carried out the works by processing of loading aggregate that would be able to get 80, 100, 125 tons.
Which operations are implementing now at plant for sustaining of hard competition in the market of oil field equipment? Which plans are built by company for perspective?
The main attention is paid to quality of producing production correspond to international standards. We regularly operate over increasing of producing equipment quality and in result of work JSC accredited with international standard ISO-9001:2000 in 2004.
The management of JSC "Azneftkimyamash" had a great role in it and it strives to render to our company the feasible assistance.
I would like to note that demand for processing production on behalf of JSC "Machine-building plant Baki Fahlasi" is increased and it allows for us to expand the spectrum of processing production, build contact with new consumers from different countries of the world.
Providing with its production the local oil and gas refinery plants JSC "Machine-building plant Baki Fahlasi" built the close interrelations with the Russian and Kazakhstan oil companies. Recently there was signed the contract about intentions with Romanian Neptun. According to it there will be fulfilled the processing of high qualitative gears for machine-rocking pumps. It will put an end to influence of poor operation of other producers of the same name equipment for reputation of JSC "Machine-building plant Baki Fahlasi".
At the same time mutually with the Ukrainian truck cranes plant Drobovich plans the establishment of "Baku-Drobovich" LLC. The new plant firstly in Azerbaijan will adjust the processing of truck cranes with tonnage 22, 25, 28, 32 and 50 tons that will permit to satisfy the growth require for the same technique in worldwide.
The realization of State program on development of regions and last Decrees and Statements of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev stimulating the enlargement of processing and opening of new working places put ahead of JSC "Machine-building plant Baki Fahlasi" new aims and subjects. JSC plans the opening of new branches in Nakhchivan AR and central part of Azerbaijan within the aim of supporting of large-scale measures fulfilled in the Republic for strengthening of independence of our country, improvement of population's profitability and rational using of presence potential. Besides there was renewed the activity of workshops for mechanical assembling and repairing. Quality control and competitive prices for processing production fetched their results in 2004. For the last year the processing production was implemented for 10154,8 mln. AZM and sold for 9190,3 mln. AZM ($1 = 4800 AZM). In comparison with 2003 the processing and selling of JSC increased for 1516,7 mln AZM and 1625,1 mln AZM. Contacts' expansion and realization of new projects to give confidence that in 2005 the processing figures will increase.
I am sure that JSC accredited with ISO-9001:2000 will represent Azerbaijan product in the international market with honor and prove with its mission of our country's adherence into processing of the modern production of oil field machine-building.
