The President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva proclaimed as a winner of the International "Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2005" in basic nomination - the highest degree award "Public Figure of 2005", according to results of poll fulfilled by Caspian Integration Business Club's marketing group among experts of the highest and middle link of 1200 companies from 30 countries of the world.

Major respondents among which the poll is realized on behalf of Club's marketing group expressed their special gratitude to Heydar Aliyev Foundation's President contribution in development and popularization of culture and traditions of Azerbaijan nation. Absolute leader Mehriban Aliyeva in the given nomination became objective result of active public and humanitarian activity conducting during many years and the fact was stated in polled application.

"CASPIAN ENERGY INTEGRATION AWARD - 2005" PREMIUM IS A FIGURE OF COMPREHENSIVE ECONOMY DEVELOPMENT OF AZERBAIJAN - SOCAR's PRESIDENT, MR. NATIG ALIYEV 30 INTERNATIONAL HOLDINGS, INDUSTRY ENTERPRISES, JV AND COMPANIES FROM FINANCIAL-CREDIT SECTOR BECAME OWNER OF PRESTIGE INTERNATIONAL AWARD.

In the ceremony at "Gulustan" Palace, there was held the awarding of premiums of "Caspian Energy Integration Award-2005" of the first and second degrees. The given premiums were awarded to 30 companies and organizations actively took part in processing and social spheres of activity in the territories of their nations (Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Georgia, Ukraine and others), also who dynamically have enlarged the geography of their activity in world markets.

CASPIAN ENERGY INTEGRATION AWARD - prestige international prize is a result and direct consequence of economy development, high international authority of Azerbaijan, the figure of degree of integration economy processes' development in the Caspian-Black Sea region. CIBC President, Mr. Telman Aliyev declared about it during opening in June 4, 2005 at "Gulustan" Palace, in Baku the first official ceremony of award of the "Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2005" prize established by Caspian Integration Business Club (CIBC).

"In May 25 under management of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of Kazakhstan, Mr. Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Turkey, Mr. Ahmad Necdad Sezar and Georgia, Mr. Michael Saakashvili, high rank foreign quests the main strategy transport corridor "Aktau-Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan" named after Heydar Aliyev was commissioned. And due to stated fact Azerbaijan and its partners handed direct pipeline access to deepwater port with exit to world markets", - T.Aliyev emphasized.

CIBC was found 2002 under supporting of the biggest oil&gas and services companies of the International Publishing House "CASPIAN ENERGY". The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev (being as the first vice-president of SOCAR) became the first honorable chairman of CIBC in June 2002. The main purpose of CIBC is advancement on information level of economic development in the Caspian of positive integration economy processes, and the process began since signing in September 20, 1994 under management of Nationwide Leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev international "contract of the century".

At that time, operating company for Club's works organization announced Caspian Business Alliance Ltd. CIBC headquarter is located in Baku - single coastal capital of state in the Caspian region.

An idea regarding large-scale integration project received active development after signing by leaders of three nations Azerbaijan, Russia and Kazakhstan - on behalf of Nationwide Leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, Vladimir Putin and Nursultan Nazarbayev of trilateral contract that means the settlement of all disputable problems in the Caspian among three states.

CIBC main goal is the creation on the base of above-mentioned positive processes the conditions for elaboration of common program regarding economy, public life, policy, energy, custom, tax, environmental safety and etc., realization of difference informational projects with regional importance and supporting the dialogue among states' structures and private sectors.

Today, Caspian Integration Business Club (CIBC) is the largest and dynamically developing organization, joining the interests of approximately 100 companies and organizations from 30 countries of the world implementing their activity in Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Georgia, Ukraine, Turkey and other states of the Caspian - Black Sea region.

For the period of CIBC establishing, there was realized some meetings with high rank state officials of Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, USA, Georgia, Ukraine and many other nations. In result Club's members business-contact expanded that will contribute to enlarging the geography of companies' activity and their further development.

In 2004, there was founded some substructure branches of Club. Some of them will be founded this year, they are: Caspian Energy Club, Caspian IT Club, Caspian Communication Club, Caspian Construction Club, Caspian Furniture Club, Caspian Finance Club, Caspian Transport Club, Caspian Auto Club, Caspian Tourism Club, Caspian Agriculture Club, Caspian Metallurgy Club, Caspian Machine-Building Club and so on.

Presently, CIBC is participant of some largest international expositions and forums both in the countries of Caspian-Black sea region and far abroad - Almaty, Moscow, Baku, Kiev, Istanbul, Ankara, London, Bejing (China), Tenerif island - Canary (Spain), Evian (France), Geneva (Switzerland), Johannesburg (UAE), Tbilisi, Astrakhan, Aberdin, Atyrau, Novosibirsk, Nizhnevartovsk and Yakutsk.

Nomination - "For contribution in development of oil and gas strategy of Azerbaijan" owner of "Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2005" prize was awarded to State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Prize had been given to President of SOCAR, Mr. Natig Aliyev.

Chief of national oil company of the Republic of Azerbaijan noted that "on measure of oil strategy development Azerbaijan achieved new successes and CIBC played great role in providing with information the world public and gathered all businessmen in Baku".

- As you aware, CIBC developed in different directions. I would like to inform the participants that only one of them, I think is the biggest in CIBC achievement and it means that it passed the stage when it was as a little Caspian Energy journal. I remember in 1999 when journal made its first steps it was not so famous but for 6 years of operation it became well known and presently, it is spread in 30 countries. There are stated in the journal about the economy's sector of Azerbaijan separately, very interesting information about Azerbaijan and Caspian region that spread in the world.

- Like as in 1994 we left the informational blockade CASPIAN ENERGY journal took off it regarding oil&gas and economy industry development of the country, issues have a right information about Azerbaijan thus far.

- Today, many companies will be awarded with prize. But I think that the first prize should be awarded to CIBC and Caspian Energy staff because they made great job and achieved today's level.

- This work was difficult, not simple but I would like to say that staff did it, and again I would like to congratulate both Caspian Integration Business Club, IPH "Caspian Energy" and whole not big staff.

- On the other hand I would like to express my gratitude for that both Club and journal really pay big attention to oil and gas sector. There is no issues of Caspian Energy where we could not find the large information about activity in Azerbaijan, concluded contracts, their activity and execution, different opinions about affairs in oil and gas industry.

We are so gratitude for "Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2005" prize "For contribution in development of Azerbaijan oil and gas strategy" and expressed my gratitude to all.

Nomination - "National partner in the Caspian" owner of "Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2005" was awarded to OJSC "NC "KazMunaiGaz". Prize had been given to managing director for PSA, Askar Baldzhanov:

- I express my gratitude to CIBC for awarding of "National partner in the Caspian" nomination, for rendering such kind of high trust to our company. Certainly, SOCAR is a leader in the Caspian. As you aware from the history the oil industry of the former Soviet Union was beginning in Baku, therefore I would like to express my thankful to all. We are Caspian countries. We are destined to live, create and operate in the coast of Caspian. Chiefs of our nations are quite clever and can find common language and it is clear now when whole world is integrated alone then it is impossible to do something. Therefore I hope that we mutually with you and Azerbaijan oilmen, maybe our teachers in the Caspian jointly and safety will develop the Caspian Sea.

Nomination - ""Maecenas of Year" for active social attitude and contribution in development of education" owner of "Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2005" prize was awarded to ExxonMobil Azerbaijan Operating Company LLC. Prize had been given to manager of the company for government and public relations, Leyla Rzaguliyeva:

- I am on behalf of ExxonMobil express my gratitude to CIBC and Caspian Energy journal. Due to great Azerbaijan oil strategy the largest oil companies of the world, including ExxonMobil were attracted in development of oil and gas resources of the Caspian. But the contribution of stated companies are reflected not only in their investments, technologies and similar projects. ExxonMobil provides with assistance to education, refugees and forced immigrants and implementation the projects of such kind of scale - the part of oil strategy of Azerbaijan for some years.

- Such kind of companies contribute their positive efforts in public progress of country, realization of social projects in Azerbaijan. I am so gratitude that ExxonMobil for implementation of its work in the sphere was awarded "Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2005" prize. I wish future successes to CIBC and that oil companies continue the expansion of their assistance and support in community of country.

Nomination - "Agricultural company of year" owner of "Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2005" prize was awarded to MKT Istehsalat Kommersiya (silver partner of "CASPIAN ENERGY INTEGRATION AWARD - 2005"). Prize had been given to General Director, Mr. Ikram Karimli:

- Beginning from 2005, we became CIBC member. We are single company among its members operating in agricultural sphere. Our company began its activity on agrarian reforms organized by Nationwide Leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev in 1997. Thanks for Club's members for success estimation of company's achievement.

Nomination - "Oil & Gas Company of Year in Russia" owner of "Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2005" prize was awarded to JSC "Lukoil". Prize had been given in Baku office of the company to vice-president, Mr. Nikolay Cherniy. Nomination - "International Integration Business" owner of "Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2005" prize was awarded to Azpetrol. Prize had been given to General Director, Mr. Husseinaga Rahimov:

Nomination - "Best Transport Company in the field of oil transportation in the Caspian" owner of "Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2005" was awarded to Middle East Petrol. Prize had been given to Chief Coordinator, Mr. Tahir Gozal:

- I express my gratitude to CIBC for nomination. If you permit, I will get the prize for the sake of hundred Azerbaijanis operating day and night, during raining and snowing at Dubendi terminal. I think their contribution in this prize is too high.

Nomination - "Holding of Year" owner of "Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2005" prize was awarded to Ata Holding. Prize had been given to Chairman of Supervisor Board of the Holding, Mr. Ahmad Erentok.

- I would like to express my gratitude for such prize and my congratulations for everybody. We participated there in the ceremony of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan named after Heydar Aliyev oil pipeline's filling some days ago. It was big event for states of region. It again proves that when people keep together for creation everything in the world became possible.

- Azerbaijan oil strategy, oil revenues integration in non-oil sector of state's economy which base was put by Nationwide Leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev and his affair is continued by incumbent President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev will be resulted with Azerbaijan profitability.

Nomination - "For high level of perforated operations" owner of "Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2005" prize was awarded to Caspian Wireline Services Ltd. Prize had been given to President of Company, Mr. Calvin Wilson:

- I extend my gratitude to CIBC and think that entering to CIBC will contribute in success of our further activity.

Nomination - "For the contribution to oilfield industry development of Caspian countries" owner of "Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2005" prize was awarded to Schlumberger. Prize had been given to Country Manager, Azerbaijan, Mr. Alex Mckay:

- I would like to extend my gratitude to CIBC for the prize. The company first came to Azerbaijan in 1929, when a contract signed with the USSR allowed the Schlumberger brothers (Conrad and Marcel) to operate in the oilfields of the Baku and Grozny areas. In addition to the Azerbaijan business operated from Baku, Schlumberger operates throughout the Caspian region and has bases in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Turkey.

Nomination - "Leader of Industry" owner of "Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2005" prize was awarded to "Ethylene-Polyethylene" plant. Prize had been given to General Director of plant, Mr. Darvin Husseinov.

- Together with oil the one of stable guarantee of Azerbaijan future development is selling in abroad high quality petrochemical production. Prize again proves that selling petrochemical production found its place in the world market is competitive. At the same time, it proves the presence of engineering knowledge and modern industry units in Azerbaijan that is guarantee of state's stable development.

Nomination - "For quality of processing of construction materials" owner of "Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2005" was awarded to Spark Concrete J.V. Prize had been given to vice-president, Mr. Ahmad Chakmak.

- As you aware, the quality is important parameter in each business, particularly in construction. Our company pay special attention to quality since its establishing in 1998. We high appreciate the estimation of our operation by others. I express my gratitude to CIBC members and Caspian Energy journal's staff.

Nomination - "For development of Azerbaijan-Germany relations" owner of "Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2005" prize was awarded to Siemens AG. Prize had been given to General Director and Chief of Representative in Azerbaijan, Mr. Samir Akhundov.

- I say thanks to CIBC members for such high estimation of our company's activity. Siemens operates in Azerbaijan more than 140 years. In 1903 Siemens built in Azerbaijan the first power station and since that time achieved high successes in the field of energy.

I am proud that we have recently signed the contract for construction in Azerbaijan new power station and begin the construction of new modern power station with 500 mWt in Sumgayit. After 9 years we together with you will take part in 150 years of our company.

Nomination - "For effective introduction of wireless technologies" owner of "Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2005" was awarded to CATEL J.V. Prize had been given to Executive Director of JV, Mr. Sadikh Humbatov.

- We accept the prize with proud and advantage. The creation of Azerbaijan-American Catel JV was agreed in April 14, 1999 by Nationwide Leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev. Today JV introduced and launched in mobile market of Azerbaijan newest technology of communication CDMA. I extend my thankful to all for valuation of our activity.

Nomination - "For development of energy system in Azerbaijan" owner of "Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2005" was awarded to Barmek Azerbaijan Electricity Network LLC. Prize had been given to Mr. Hussein Arabulu.

- I know what you think when you see me. I have good news for you - BACO ("Automatically system for meters reading" - "Barmek avtomatik saygadj okuma"). We need not to disturb you in your flats. We will read the figures of your meters without knocking to your door. Thank you.

Nomination - "Best office furniture of year" owner of "Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2005" prize was awarded to Office Systems. Prize had been given to General Manager, Mr. Aziz Mammadov.

- This is big honor for us to be awarded by CIBC with the all worldwide famous companies. I just note that the growth of our turnover in 2004 in comparison with 2003 made approximately 200%. This is not because of our hard and a lot of working but because of stability in our country. Who does not agree then it is necessary to remind the former US President's Kennedy words: - "do not ask what country made for you, ask what you made for country".

Nomination - "Machine-building company of year in Azerbaijan" owner of "Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2005" prize was awarded to Baki Fahlasi. Prize had been given to Chairman of the Board, Mr. Islam Feyziyev.

- I congratulate CIBC members and the staff of journal with such significant event. As you aware, the first have always been oilmen and then machine-builders. However, Azerbaijani industry men in the sphere were being the first in the world and the first machine-building plants were built in Azerbaijan. I extend my gratitude that within the frame of "Caspian Energy Integration Award-2005" there was appreciated the operation of our plant.

Nomination - "For successful strategy in business" owner of "Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2005" was awarded to "Metal-Qaynaq-Sinaq". Prize had been given to Director, Mr. Rasim Mammadov.

- My congratulations to all participants of "Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2005" and Club's members. I extend my thankful for high estimation of our plant's activity.

Nomination - "Best management" owner of "Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2005" prize was awarded to Panalpina Central Asia EC. Prize had been given to General Manager, Azerbaijan, Mr. Murad Husseinov.

- This is a big honour for us. Because our company is represented in more than 100 countries of the world. News about today's success of company is spread in all 100 countries. Being as Azeri I am proud of Azerbaijan name will be called in these countries at the highest level.

Nomination - "Professional insurance company" owner of "Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2005" prize was awarded to International Insurance Company. Prize had been given to Chairman of Supervisory Board, Mr. Khayal Mammadkhanli.

- I was a witness of hundred public, social and economy measures of sovereign Azerbaijan and now I am proud of getting next prize that is estimation of whole insurance market of Azerbaijan. Nomination - "For dynamic financial development in the insurance market" owner of "Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2005" prize was awarded to Azerbaijan-Group and prize had been given to General Director, Mr. Anar Bayramov.

- I would like to extend my thankful to "Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2005" organizers and CIBC members on behalf of Azerbaijan-Group for awarding the prize. Also I'd like to express my gratitude to entrust, rendering by insurance that is guarantee of stability in development of Azerbaijan.

Nomination - "Insurance company of year in the field of auto-transport insuring" owner of "Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2005" prize was awarded to Thames Insurance Group and prize had been given to General Director, Mr. Rufat Musayev.

- I express my gratitude for estimation of our company's activity that was established in 1996 as Azerbaijan-British insurance company. Today, CIBC's important valuation entered to list of our successes. Our clients' estimations are so necessary to us.

One more success this year was that we became unique insurance company in Azerbaijan which founded insurance company in Kirgizistan and continue the operation in Georgia. For stated, I extend my gratitude to our clients.

CIBC members can be honorable, real and associative. Honorable members of Club have the largest opportunities within the frame of measures and other informational activity's planning. Real members of Club are companies or organizations which activities do not contradict to states' legislation in the territory of their operation. They provide with member fees and have a right to elect and to be elected by chiefs of branch clubs, also they have the right to vote during discussion and acceptance of important decisions in CIBC.

Associative members of Club juridical or natural persons having confining opportunities in CIBC and they can take part in discussions but are not able to elect and to be elected. Associative members are supervisors and pay minimal member fees.

It means that oil strategy made by Nationwide Leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev in 1994 at each stage of its development looked to step forward. If at the beginning of 90s we spoke only about development of oil and gas industry, production and export of energy carriers in the world markets then after 10 years Azerbaijan economy's development with speed rhythm covered all sphere of economy.

Today, prizes in oil and gas, chemical, machine-building industry, transport, telecommunication, insurance and bank spheres one more proved that our economy is comprehensively being developed.

Course accepted by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev is the effort to develop of non-oil sector of country with accelerated rhythm.

Non-oil sector's development covers not only Baku, and in soon the development will be influenced in all regions of Azerbaijan. The implementation of balanced economy policy will allow to improve the profitability of whole Azerbaijan nation.
