Since 1994, as being the main operator of container terminal at Bandar Abbas which is the main gate way of containerized cargo to/from Iran, Tidewater Co. have been handled 95 % of Containers through out Iran by handling 1,150,000 TEUS in 2004.
General Cargo handling is the second biggest activity of Tidewater in Iranian ports. In 2004, Tidewater has handled 2.3 million tones cargo operation in several ports in Iran.
Besides, Container and transit department of Tidewater Co. with cooperation of the most well known shipping lines which have direct and/or regular services to Bandar Abbas (Shahid Rajaee Port Complex) provides customers with door to door services from origins to final destinations.
Tidewater is also capable of providing following services:
• Accepting cargo and commodities at the port of origin in any country and undertaking all formalities for a door to door delivery.
• Undertaking cargo handling, warehousing at the entry and exit ports and inland dry ports.
• Data exchange to customer for cargo movement.
• Agency services for international freight forwarding companies.
• Attending customs formalities (export, transit, and import) at sea ports, dry ports, and borders.
Tidewater Co. is the leader of bulk cargo handling around 5 million tones of bulk cargo in 2004 in Iran.
In order to meet the customer’s requirements as much as possible, tidewater Co. is running three private terminals for stuffing, storing full and empty containers, striping, cargo warehousing. There are also some covered areas for storing sensitive cargos and 100 refer plugs for refer containers.
