MQS TO FUTURE WITH OPTIMISM
The current economic development of the country is inseparably linked with the correct oil strategy carried out by the government.
Exploitation of the oil and gas deposits, huge foreign investments of many billions in this branch demanded establishment of service companies functioning in oil branch. The open joint-stock company MQS (Metal-Qaynag-Sinaq) is one of these companies. The director of the joint-stock company Rasim Mammadov informs about the present state of the business and plans of the company.
Caspian Energy (C.E.): Mr Mammadov, please, tell a little about the present activity of your company.
Rasim Mammadov: Today the main sphere of the companys activity is oil and gas and petrochemical projects in the Caspian region. The company purposes on satisfying needs and expectations of the customers, high quality and profitability of the services. The present MQS is a flexible and focused on company clients with a policy of continuous perfection and modernization of his activity with the purpose to provide the customers with fuller spectrum of services. At the moment the MQS has its own production squares, fully meeting the requirements of international standards and equipped mainly with European staff.
C.E.: What does the quality of the product produced by the MQS signify for You? What importance is attached to the establishment of service conditions, safety measures?
Rasim Mammadov: The high quality product is the task of primary importance in such a serious plans as the OJSC Metal-Qaynaq-Sinaq. A control system on product quality is necessary for meeting the requirements of the biggest oil and gas corporations. The company has established a QMS (Quality Management System) corresponding to the requirements of BS EN ISO 9000 1994 for carrying out this purpose, the company has passed accreditation in the Moody International and accreditation in ABS having got a certificate ISO 9001 2000, for NDT-DT (nondestructive and destructive test). The MQS has a license of some governments for keeping radioactive sources, their utilization and transportation) also the certificates given by ABS company on nondestructive and destructive test, training and testing the welders.
MQS is acknowledged as a company which is able to provide his clients with high-quality services that might correspond or exceed their expectations. We have created professional conditions for sound and safe work for all our collaborators. The health management, industrial safety and protection of the environment based on Azerbaijan legislation fully respond to all international standards. Besides it, MQS got a certificate on Safety measures confirmed by the company ABS on OHSAS 18001:1999 standard.
All the documentation processes of the company are carried out in two languages Azeri and English. The most part of our employees speak English. The language learning and developing courses are regularly taking place at the company.
C.E.: Probably, there is no need to speak about high professionalism of the employees of OJSC MQS?
Rasim Mammadov: "Satisfying the customers requirements" and "Knack of business" are the main slogans of the company. Implementation of these slogans considers the presence of skilled employees. The MQS employees are taught the modern systems on controlling the quality of welding joints, and trained on assembling iron constructions. Periodical training courses are carried out on improving the skill level of the employees.

Rasim Mammadov: The company is full of optimism with regards to future. The plans of the MQS consist in providing the oil-and-gas and other sectors with comprehensive services not only within the Caspian region. We are planning to reach this purpose by entering into the alliances with the interested companies. We have achieved definite successes in this direction.
