Rapid Solutions Ltd was founded in 1996 to provide electrical services to the Oil and Gas Industry in Azerbaijan. Following the successful completion of a number of projects the business expanded and additional services were introduced including motor repair, controls and instrumentation, fluid power and telecommunications.
Today Rapid Solutions is a leading provider of integrated solutions in these services, which are tailored to suit our customer's specific needs. Through our in-house capabilities in design, engineering, procurement, installation, commissioning and maintenance Rapid Solutions can provide a complete turnkey solution. This service capability is supported by over 200 trained and competent staff who are experienced in working to international standards on a daily basis.
Ensuring that these services are delivered safely, without harm to the environment and in accordance with our customers requirements are critical success factors in all Rapid Solutions activities. To ensure best practice the Rapid Solutions HSE Management system is based on the requirements of OSHA 18001 and ISO 14001, and is implemented through effective leadership at all levels of the organisation. The ISO 9001:2000 certified Quality Management System ensures that the business processes are focused on identifying and delivering customer requirements consistently. Rapid Solutions also has permits and operating licenses for organizations such as Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RMRS), American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Det Norske Verities (DNV).

Electrical Services
During the last 10 years Rapid Solutions has completed a number of significant electrical projects for the Oil and Gas, Marine, Construction and Energy Industries. Today our Electrical Division employs over 100 experienced and qualified electrical engineers, offering a wide range of services such as Supply, Installation and Commissioning of HV/LV generators, transformers up to 10kv, Supply and Installation of Motor Control Centers, switchboards & distributions boards, HV /LV terminations & cable jointing , HV/ LV Cable Testing , Design Supply & Installation of Power Management Systems, Supply, Installation and Commissioning of UPS Systems and Voltage Stabilizers, Hazardous area surveys & inspection of electrical equipment by COMPEX Certified personnel, Installation and Maintenance of Hazardous Area Electrical and Instrumentation Equipment, Design & Build of Electrical Installations to 16th edition IEE regulations, Inspection & testing of electrical installations in non-hazardous areas to comply with IEE 16th Edition Regulations, Design Supply and Installation of Emergency Lighting Systems, Interior and Exterior Lighting Design supply and Installation, Design Supply Installation and Commissioning of Fire Alarm Systems, Design Supply Installation and Commissioning of Intruder Alarm, CCTV & Access Control systems, Engineering, procurement & Construction capabilities for Major Electrical Projects, Manpower Supply, Maintenance of Fire Alarm and Security Systems, Plant & Test Equipment Hire.
Our Electrical Division has successfully completed various electrical projects, such as Inspection of existing Hazardous areas equipment for BP Chirag 1, Installation of Electrical Cabling and Equipment on TB1 Barge for Saipem Kazakhstan, Overseeing the installation and Commissioning of Electrical & Instrumentation equipment for BTC/SPC Pipeline, Pacific Askari DWG Phase 3 SubSea Project for McDermott Caspian Contractors Inc.
Fluid Power Services
The Fluid Power Division has provided hydraulic services to all phases of the ACG Field development at the Bos Shelf and MCCI yards. In addition to these notable successes Fluid Power Division has undertaken several major hydraulic projects including work on semi submersible drilling rigs- Dada Gorgud and the Istiglal in Azerbaijan along with major works on the Chirag platform Azerbaijan, BTC/SCP pipe line Ball Valve Station/Pumping station hydraulic installations and commissioning support, TECHNIP TPG 500 well controls system installation and Pre commissioning, EA Well controls system Hydraulic installation and pre commissioning.
The Division provides Design, Upgrade, installation & commissioning of hydraulic systems, Installation of Hydraulic and Instrumentation pipe work, Pressure testing and Hot oil flushing services, Jacking, Push pull, Skidding, BOP, Pipe Handling systems, Hydraulic Power units, Riser Tension systems, Supply of Hydraulic components/Supply of Power units, Upgrade of existing filtration systems.
In 2005 Rapid Solutions entered into a joint venture with Hydrasun Ltd to form Hydrasun Rapid Solutions Ltd. The company supplies Europe's leading range of connectors, hoses, fittings and process control instrumentation equipment to the Azerbaijan Oil and Gas Industry. Hydrasun Rapid Solutions provides these products and Hose Integrity Management Services to a major Oil and Gas Operator and Service Contractors in the region.
Motors and Drives
This year was also marked with appointment of Rapid Solutions as an ABB Motors & Drives Channel Partner. ABB products and services are broadly used by our Control & Instrumentation and Motor Rewind Divisions. As Channel Partner for ABB Motors we have access to the facilities and expertise of ABB in Turkey and the UK, and the ABB motor manufacturing base in Finland.
The Motor Rewind Division of Rapid Solutions offers a wide range of repair and maintenance of motors, generators, pumps and fans, including rewinding of AC and DC Motors in our purpose built facility in Baku. Cost effective repairs are provided through our trained and competent national team and provision of spare parts including bearings, seals, capacitors, thermostats and cooling fans from our in-country stock. In 2007 Motor Rewind Division was awarded a 3 year contract for the Provision of Electrical Motor Repair Services in Azerbaijan and Georgia for BP.
Controls and Instrumentation
The Control and Instrumentation Division provides the full range of instrumentation products and services both onshore and offshore. We have already provided highly qualified and experienced manpower supply for the significant number of projects for ABB. Through our alliances with global leaders in the field of automation, we also provide a range of targeted solutions within various industries, such as Power Generation, Electromotive, and Oil and Gas, and Chemical Industries.
Telecommunications
In 2002 Rapid Solutions signed a partnership agreement with one of the world's global leader's in wireless, broadband and automotive communications technologies and embedded electronic products, Motorola. Today our Telecommunications Division is the Authorized Distributor of Motorola products, such as IS, non-IS and ATEX approved portable and mobile radio equipment. We also provide turnkey installation services and the maintenance and repair of Motorola radio equipment. Our Telecommunications Division provides design, supply, installation and maintenance of telecommunication systems in both onshore and offshore environment. We have successfully completed projects for MCCI and Swire Pacific - VSAT communication system on the Pasific Askari Vessel.
