Denholm Oilfield Services, a division of the prestigious UK based Denholm Group, has been present in the Caspian Region for over 10 years, offering a wide range of integrated services designed to provide project and maintenance support to the local oil and gas sector.
Denholm Oilfield Services is a relatively new division of the J & J Denholm Group, having originally been an integral part of Denholm Industrial Services. In January 2006, Denholm Oilfield Services gained their own identity and formed the new division to focus on the worldwide oil and gas market. Since then, Denholm have built upon their capabilities and now have a network of operational bases to cover Europe, the Caspian Region, North Africa and the Middle East, with a current annual turnover of around ?45m.
Operations in the Caspian Region commenced in 1997 with the award of a specialist cleaning contract in Kazakhstan. In 1999, Denholm joined with Zholdas & Co, a local company, to form the joint venture partnership, Denholm Zholdas LLP, with Denholm bringing its financial strength and industry expertise whilst Zholdas contributed to the resource of local manpower to undertake contracts covering construction, commissioning, maintenance, shutdown and decommissioning.
Following their success in Kazakhstan, in 2002 Denholm developed further operations in Baku, Azerbaijan, providing support services to the oil and gas industry, including the fabrication and installation of structural steelwork, architectural fit outs and upgrades of offshore accommodation and office modules, pipe work systems including high pressure flow lines, vessels, tanks and related packages.
Today, Denholm have gained an impressive list of clients within the Caspian Region including Tengizchevroil, AIOC, KPO, Agip and PFD.
As part of the J. & J. Denholm Group, Denholm Oilfield Services are committed to conducting its business in alignment with the morals and standards to which the Group has been accustomed and which underpins the foundations of the business as a whole.
The relationships that Denholm have gained through Strategic alliances with specialist suppliers, such as Aggreko and A & N Plant, ensures they are able to offer a complete plant and equipment portfolio to clients. Specific attention is given to the capacities, duties and suitability of equipment to ensure a reliable service is provided wherever the location. Denholms support extends not only to equipment mobilisation, but also to providing in-field breakdown and repair services.
An example of one of Denholms recently completed projects was the oil and gas shutdown undertaken in 2006 at Karachaganak in Kazakhstan. What made this an even more remarkable achievement was that it was done with just six weeks notice! Work included inspection and HPWJ cleaning of over 160 vessels, internal and external scaffolding for all vessels in the scope of works, insulation removal and reinstatement, painting and coating, reinstatement of new flare tips, blinding and isolations of vessels and battery limits, and supply of various equipment required for this shutdown, including bio-toilets, forklifts, vacuum trucks, supersuckers and cranes.
Denholm Oilfield Services are committed to further developing its core range of services, whilst continuing to deliver to its clients cost-effective solutions that do not compromise its safety, environmental and quality values. Through the provision of extensive training, the formation of further strategic partnerships with specialist companies and through the development and introduction of new technologies, its goal is to continue providing high-quality multi-discipline maintenance services to the oil and gas industry.
