  • AZERBAIJAN STARTED TO SUPPLY EMERGENCY ENERGY TO GEORGIA

BAKU FIRSTLY LIMITED GAS SUPPLY FOR POPULATION

Saakashvili has not any doubt about simultaneous explosions at three lines of energy being “sabotage against the Georgian energy system”.

Last Sunday, Georgia lost almost all of its sources of energy from Russia – at night in the Northern Osetiya the main and reserve pipelines were undermined, and next morning supporting PTL was damaged in Karachayevo-Cherkesiya. Azerbaijan began emergency supply of energy carriers to Georgia, particularly gas and energy power. The president of Georgia, Mikhail Saakashvili has accused Russia of deliberate damage in the gas pipeline and PTL, naming the accident "diversion" and "retaliatory action". MFA of Russia considered these statements as "hysterics and bacchanalia" and assumed that "Tbilisi irrevocably has decided to spoil completely its relation with Russia".
