As a result of fundamental economic reforms that have been carried out in the country for the past four years, the economy of Azerbaijan has surged 96%, about two-fold. It is the indicator, which has no analogues in the world. Thus, Gross Domestic Product grew about 25% and industrial production also increased 24% in the year 2007, said President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev at the meeting of government on socio-economic results of 2007 (January 11).
