BP NOT CAPABLE TO COPE WITH SHAH DENIZ
The process of the Azerbaijani Shah Deniz gas-condensate field’s development keeps on facing problems. It is possible to state that almost all well operations ran into difficulties. As a result, Azerbaijan still cannot start developing this field and is forced to postpone gas export to the European market. Thus, the country may fail to meet contractual commitments to importers of Azerbaijan gas.
100TH CONSIGNMENT LOADED AT HEYDAR ALIYEV TERMINAL IN CEYHAN
The 100th consignment has been shipped today (February 6) at the Ceyhan terminal in Turkey.

2007 – YEAR OF AZERBAIJAN IN FRANCE
Last week the President of Azerbaijan paid an official visit to France. Within the last time the cooperation between Azerbaijan and France has been progressing rapidly. The Year of Azerbaijan is taking place in France this year, President of France Jacques Chirac said at his meeting with President Ilham Aliyev in the president’s palace. He also said that “our relations are very important and fruitful both in economic and political respect”.

KAZAKHSTAN AND UKRAINE AGREE TO CREATE A BILATERAL WORKING GROUP TO DEAL WITH ENERGY PARTNERSHIP ISSUES
Kazakhstan and Ukraine have planned to create a bilateral working group so as to realize the potential of the energy transport corridor, including the Odessa-Brody-Gdansk oil pipeline project. President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko said (February 5) at the press conference held jointly with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev that covered the results of the talks. Kazakhstan also keeps on working to as to enhance the local presence in oil projects.
