  • The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan is ramping up its oil production. In January 2007 SOCAR-operated extractive units enhanced production rates by 0.6%. Gas output went up (34.1%) mainly due additional wells drilled in the Gunashli area. The Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC) raised its production due to a new platform set into operation in the Eastern Azeri area (WA).
