Most recently importing gas from Russia, Azerbaijan now works as an exporter of natural gas. Azerbaijan’s export potential concerned Gazprom and it wanted to import gas from Azerbaijan. However, as reported, the parties failed to agree on prices. EIGHT EU COUNTRIES AGAINST REFORMING THE ENERGY MARKET

 

Eight European countries have turned down the plans on reforms to be carried out in the European energy industry to downplay energy generating companies’ control over distribution networks in Europe. The European Commission has received the letter of appeal from the group of countries, including Germany, France, Austria, Bulgaria, Latvia, Greece, Slovakia and Luxemburg.
