AZERBAIJAN-HUNGARY: COURSE TO STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP CONFIRMED
This week President of the Republic of Azerbaijan paid his official visit to Hungary. During his visit President Ilham Aliyev and his Hungarian counterpart Laszlo Solyom signed the Joint Statement. Apart from this, they signed the agreement on economic cooperation, elimination of double taxation on income and property tax and prevention of tax evasion, Cooperation Agreement between Ministry of Industry and energy of Azerbaijan and Ministry of Economy and Transport of Hungary, and Joint Declaration of Foreign Ministries of the two countries.
NEW DIRECTION FOR AZERRBAIJANI GAS DELIVERY
Most recently Azerbaijan was a gas importing country, and now it is expanding its gas supply geography. Previously Azerbaijan was offering her gas to Russia at $300 per 1,000 m3, and now Iran is purchasing this gas at $300 per 1,000 m3. The price talks concerning Azerbaijani gas supply to Georgia are still underway. It is remarkable that right after Azerbaijan started delivering gas to Iran, Russia got activated in this direction as well.

Discussed during the meeting were the issues and problems arising in this field and being a matter of concern for CIBC member-companies.

«AKTAU SEAPORT WILL DOUBLE OIL TRANSSHIPMENT» - DIRECTOR OF AKTAU SEAPORT SEZ ADMINISTRATION
«We at Aktau seaport are implementing a port enlargement project. According to this project, oil transshipment capacities will be doubled from 10 to 20MT of crude per annum and bulk cargo transshipment capacities from 1.5 to 3.7MTa. In this case we imply expanding Aktau seaport to the north, in which respect additional land plots have been allocated», said Zinullah Kaziyev, Mangistau Region Akims Counselor for Regional Development and Director of Aktau Seaport SEZ Administration in his interview with Caspian Energy Investor.
