    ISTANBUL AND ADANA IN THE CENTER OF THE OFFICIAL CEREMONY DEDICATED TO COMMISSIONING OF THE BAKU-TBILISI-CEYHAN

    Azerbaijan ramps up export through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline

    Almost all preparatory works dedicated to the official commissioning of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline (BTC) have been completed in Istanbul and Adana.

    According to data of the Turkish press, the works are implemented by the Cabinet of Minister and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkey in coordination with the Ministry of Energy & Natural Resources and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country. 15 heads of states, 30 prime ministers and over 50 ministers of energy and foreign affairs were invited to take part in the ceremony.

    According to the information, 6 heads of ministries, 9 prime ministers and 23 ministers of energy have already confirmed their participation in the ceremony.

    OIL & GAS CONGRESS – LEVEL HEADED DIALOGUE

    The Caspian Integration Business Club (CIBC) and Caspian Energy International publishing House (IPH) took part in the largest branch-wise forum of Russia – the 11th International Exhibition of Equipment & Technologies for Oil and Gas Industries NEFTEGAZ - 2006 (June 19-23) and the 4th Russian Oil & Gas Congress (June 20-22). ITE, the leader of the exhibition business in Russia, has arranged the given events.

    During the four-day exhibition the CIBC delegation held meetings with government-men, heads of ministries and departments of the economic sector of the Russian Government, heads of large enterprises engaged in the oil-and-gas and machine-building complexes and representatives of Russia’s business circles, Caspian Energy Investor reports. Publications of Caspian IPH - Caspian Energy and Baltic Energy magazines were presented during the Exhibition and Congress.

  • OPEC OIL SETS A NEW HISTORICAL RECORD


    The price of the OPEC oil “basket” has set a new historical record. Thus, for July 6 the price of the “basket” comprised $68.74 per barrel (+0.82). Up to now the level comprising $68.40 registered on May 2, 2006 has been viewed as the historical maximum for the OPEC “basket”.
