At the moment of signing of "the contract of the century" proved reserves at "Azeri" - "Chirag" - "Gunashli" fields made nearby 5,4 bn bbl (or 511 mln. tons) oil. And today after carrying out of additional researches and development of technical base of fields' development it is possible to approve that reserves of these fields make nearby 10 bn bbl of oil.

On a background of last castlings of shareholders in the Kazakhstan oil and gas production companies the position of state's government on purchase of new actives has amplified. His position regarding it was expressed by the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. As a result the precise position of the head of the state without commas and colons according to which "Kazakhstan is not going to reconsider unilaterally the previous signed oil contracts" has been presented to investors. Russian Lukoil being the largest investor in a petroleum industry of Kazakhstan becomes the important part in distribution of oil&gas assets in Kazakhstan.
