    IT COULD NOT FIND A PLACE FOR PERSPECTIVE TURKMEN GAS

    Along with increase of oil prices in the world market the gas prices are also escalating. Main gas consumers are located in Europe and gas producers are Russia and Central Asian countries. During last week the Russian monopolist "Gazprom" was solving issues related to transit.

  • SOCAR EXPECTS STRUCTURAL REFORMS


    SOCAR INCREASED OIL&GAS PRODUCTION

    Consultants are researching improvement of structural control of SOCAR. Even now SOCAR continues to demonstrate the over planned figures in oil production. Despite this fact, the cost of one ton oil production by SOCAR increases every month. For the first time a significant growth was achieved in gas field ( 12.6%). Implementation of SOCAR's program for increase in gas production planned for the period of 2005-2010 demands facilities at the cost of $100 mln. SOCAR's export reduced a little, on the account of AIOC export and use of the pipeline. SOCAR transferred 2167,9 bn AZM to the state budget starting this year.

    COMMERCIAL OIL PRODUCTION AT KASHAGAN FIELD TO BEGIN ONLY AT THE END OF 2008

    Management at Agip KCO engaged with development of oil-fields of Kazakhstan sector of the Caspian sea has undergone certain changes. Instead of Mario Bekerucci sent to Pakistan, Luchano Vaskes was appointed as a new regional director of the company. According to press-service of Agip KCO, it is ordinary rotation of staff. L.Vaskes has been working for the company for a year time, and totally 4 years in Kazakhstan. Speaking on the rights of director, L.Vaskes has made some statements, and one of which is on commmercial production of oil at Kashagan field due to begin at the end of 2008.

    President of OPEC sheikh Ahmad al-Fakhd al-Sabakh has declared that the cartel does not have plans the reduction of oil production though the prices for raw material have decreased. " Till now we did not have any target level under the prices", - he has told. OPEC will gather for meeting on December 12 in Kuwait where will define the further industrial policy.
