The 15th Kazakhstan International Oil & Gas Exhibition and Conference, KIOGE-2007 opened on October 2 in Almaty (Kazakhstan). From its very foundation KIOGE is taking place under the supervision and at direct participation of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Kazakhstan and KazMunayGas NC JSC. At the opening ceremony Uzakbai Karabalin, KazMunayGas President said mainly the Caspian Sea shelf would promote the increase in crude hydrocarbons production in Kazakhstan in the medium-term perceptive. In addition, the country’s legislation sets the KazMunayGas’s shareholding in all newly concluded PSA at 50 percent, the Caspian Energy Investor’s correspondent reports from Almaty.

NEARLY 1.5 BLN KWH OF ENERGY PRODUCED IN AZERBAIJAN IN SEPTEMBER

 

Nearly 1.5bln KWh of electrical energy was produced by Azerenerji JSC this September. Out of the above-stated amount 1.4bln KWh of energy account for thermoelectric power stations and 0.1bln KWh for hydropower stations, the Azerenerji’s press service told Caspian Energy Investor.
