«EU IS NOT READY TO HAVE A COMMON ENERGY POLICY», - LECH KACZYNSKI

«The diversification of energy raw materials in terms of supplies is one of the strategic objectives of the Polish Government. I think that the current balance of supplying Poland with energy carriers may pose a threat to our country’s energy security. As I said before, over half of the gas and 80% of the oil comes from Russia. We are not afraid of the Russians as suppliers, but we want to be certain that should any problems arise, e.g. technical problems, we would still be able to import the required raw materials from other directions. Hence, Poland’s talks with Norway and Denmark on the gas line, building of an LNG terminal and intense works on the Odessa-Brody-Plock-Gdansk project with Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Lithuania», said Lech Kaczynski, President of Poland, in his exclusive interview with Caspian Energy Investor.
