    THERE WAS HELD MEETING BETWEEN VICE-PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN PARLIAMENT AND TOP-MANAGEMENT OF SOCAR WITH COMPANIES-MEMBERS OF CIBC.

    "CIBC fulfills big and profitable work that provides our relations with big impulse", - Vice-Speaker of Parliament of Azerbaijan, Valeh Alaskarov.

    In order to establish complete business-power dialogue CIBC continued in December 2005 monthly meeting with the heads of state institutes of Azerbaijan. During December 6 in Grand Europe Hotel the meeting between top-managers of SOCAR and chiefs of companies-members of Caspian Integration Business Club (CIBC) was held.

  • JS NC "KAZMUNAIGAZ" REJECTS ACCUSATION OF GROUP OF DEPUTIES FROM PARLIAMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN


    As is aware, during December 7 a group of deputies from Majlis, Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan headed by B.A.Abyshev addressed with request to General Prosecutor Office and Counting Committee for control after implementation of the republican budget regarding allocation of profits and expenditures of KazMunaiGaz (KMG). December 8's conference of the Senate of Parliament of Kazakhstan Deputy Mr. Isabekov informed about request with the similar context.

    DEPENDENCE ON SUPPLIERS INCREASE

    "The talk of the town" at all analytical reviews can be named the falling of natural gas extraction in Europe at main fields of the North Sea and South - Western France. Therefore all hopes of EU industrial consumers connected with resources and construction of pipelines from far world regions.

  • "GAZPROM" HAS STARTED THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE FIRST NEG's AREA


    "Gazprom" has started the construction the first NEG's area of overland part of the North-European gas line (NEG). In December 9 the solemn ceremony maiden buff of NEG has been welded. At the ceremony, there was a minister of the industry and power engineering of the Russian Federation Victor Khristenko, the prime minister of the Russian Federation Michael Fradkov, the chapter of "Gazprom" Alexey Miller, Minister of Economics of Germany Michael Glos, chairman of board E.ON Woolf Bernotat, chairman of board of company BASF Jurgen Hambreht.

  • SOCAR INCREASED ITS OIL&GAS PRODUCTION


    SOCAR continues to demonstrate over plan figures in the field of oil production. Despite that the cost of production of SOCAR's oil ton monthly increases. From the beginning of year oil production exceeded an expected level by 2.5%. Significant growth achieved in gas extraction - 11.2%. SOCAR's export reduced a little in connection with usage of pipeline capacities on behalf of AIOC shareholders.

  • OPEC's POLICY WILL BE UNCHANGEABLE IN 2006


    OPEC's policy regarding production to 2006 will be unchangeable. Such kind of decision was made at 138th conference of OPEC in December 12. Countries-members of the cartel put as unchangeable the set quotas in 28 mln. bpd, Minister of Energy of Libya, Fathi Ahmad ben Shatvan has announced.
