The first gas from Shah Deniz will be delivered onshore within the next 1-2 weeks, the consortium plans to ramp up production during the fourth quarter of 2006.

    The current oil prices exceeding 60 USD per barrel are too high and exert negative influence on the world's economics, Claude Mandil, the Executive Director of the International Energy Agency stated. "This is too high level", Mandil said to the French radio station BFM.
