During the talks (November 9) held in the Kremlin President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev discussed the bilateral relations between RF and Azerbaijan in the field of energy in the light of cooperation with EU. President arrived to Moscow from Brussels immediately after singing the Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Partnership in the field of energy between the European Union and the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Implementation of the oil and gas projects allowed Kazakhstan developing large transport corridors both through pipeline networks and by railway and sea. The direct railway-ferry service between Kazakhstan and Russia was opened in the Caspian Sea last week. Both countries seriously view the opportunities to supply energy resources to the China’s market. At the same time, China is actively expanding its presence in the hydrocarbon market of Kazakhstan.

DIVERSIFICATION OF GAZPROM’S SUPPLIES TO EUROPE
Gazprom, which planned to reach agreement with Bulgaria so as to change the provisions in the unprofitable contract about supplies and transit of gas before the end of the year, worries about the slowness showed by the Bulgarian government during the talks with the company. The source in Gazprom Export reported to Reuters upon completion of the scheduled round of negotiations.

OPEC READY TO FULFILL COMMITMENTS TO CUT OIL PRODUCTION
All states within the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) are going to completely fulfill undertaken commitments to cut oil production, OPEC President Edmund Daukoru stated. Despite the OPEC’s decision dated October 21 to curtail oil output by 1.2 million bbl a day from November 1, the prices on “black gold” still stand below $60.
