    Kazakhstan keeps on developing oil & gas projects in the Caspian Sea. Last week LUKOIL Overseas, KazMunayGas and Spanish company Repsol signed the Zhambay PSA. Along with this, Kazakhstan is going to prevent the sale of oil assets in Nations Energy to China International Trust & Investment Corp. (CITIC). Last week KazMunayGas JSC signed the purchase-sale contract with CNPC International. According to the contract KMG bought 50% in the Shymkent Oil Refinery. At the same time Kazakhstan is carrying on talks to purchase the Nizhnekamsk Petrochemical Plant.

  • First East Azeri oil reached the Sangachal Terminal. As the press release of the Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC) received by Caspian Energy Investor today runs, the event took place on November 10 and marks the beginning of East Azeri revenue oil production and follows the start-up of oil production from the East Azeri platform on October 21st, four months ahead of schedule.
