President of Poland Lech Kaczynski says there are no any problems with Azerbaijan as regards establishment of a joint venture for Odessa-Brody-Plotsk-Gdansk Project implementation. Mr Kaczynski made this statement last Friday (December 7) at the joint press briefing with President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko held in Yuzhnoye, Odessa Region, upon visiting Yuzhniy offshore oil terminal.

This statement was sounded last Friday (December 7) during the 18th session of the Foreign Investors Council (Gazeta.kz.). “Kazakhstan abounds with solar energy. Our country also has great opportunities to use wind power. We can build hydropower stations at our small rivers. However, unlike many countries we almost do not promote alternative energy sources. That is why the government jointly with investors has much to do to promote alternative energy sources”, Mr Nazarbayev said.

    On December 6 Gazprom signed 2008 gas supply contracts with Ukraine. Head of Gazprom Alexey Miller told journalists ‘achieved was the agreement on gas price for Ukraine and terms of its transit, which provide additional guarantees of stable delivery of Russian gas to European consumers and is a logical and mutually beneficial step in formation of transparent market relations in gas industry between Russia and Ukraine.’
