China and Kazakhstan have reached understanding to construct the second turn of the oil pipeline linking the Caspian Sea and Western China. “Longed-for plans have become a reality: the Caspian coast, the shelf of the Caspian Sea will be directly linked with Western China though the territory of Kazakhstan”, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev told last week in Peking.

RECEIPTS OF NEAR EASTERN OIL EXPORTERS GREW 3.3 TIMES
High oil prices in 2006 have enhanced export receipts of the Near Eastern countries to 840 billion USD. Thus, according to the economists of Morgan Stanley, the receipts of this oil region grew 3.3 times compared to 2002.
