A message by His Excellency Suleyman Demirel, President of Republic of Turkey, to Azeri nation through the Caspian Energy international journal

Azerbaijan hears a strategic importance in the Caucasus and constitutes an economically promising center not only for her people but also for the peoples of this region and the world as well.

The economic potential of Azerbaijan, mainly stemming from its natural resources, is expected to engender major progress on the global energy market in the 21 st century. It is not very difficult to predict that a bright future is awaiting Azerbaijan.

Turkey, on her part, has given utmost support to Azerbaijan in every field ever since she gained her independence. We will continue to stand with Azerbaijan in her endeavors to get fully integrated into the world economy.

There exist exemplary bilateral relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan. We believe that these relations will inspire for other countries and serve the establishment of a stable, peaceful and prosperous atmosphere in our region.

Availing myself of this opportunity, I would like to convey my best wishes for the happiness and the continued progress and prosperity of the brotherly people of Azerbaijan.
