"Both countries have more opportunities for the economic cooperation than those being used today. Russia stands for the closest cooperation with Azerbaijan in the power complex--from producing and refining to transporting oil.

Russia makes all opportunities, including material and technical, for this and expects the cooperation to be constructive and long-term. It concerns first the oil pipeline route toward Novorossiysk. As well, Russia considers projects of participation of its companies in reconstructing energy and other industrial objects in Azerbaijan. It is also possible a joint work on setting up interrelations between our grids."
